Check out this dude’s twitter @ name vs his full printed name. One of them is wrong, so I don’t have to listen to him on the subjects of names and pretention. Also “encyclopedia” is a six syllable word vs “Baratunde” which is four. My overall point with people who attempt to shorten my name is that they demand a nickname without even trying. It’s not actually hard to say. People just think it is because they haven’t tried.
Most importantly, no one has the right to call me out of my name. It’s a luxury I allow certain people. Calling me pretentious for insisting people use my actual name is, well, pretentious. And annoying.
Super most importantly. It’s my book and my name and I can do what I want. LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!
Oh also, I’m not actually mad. Rich was a good sport about the whole thing. I was I. Cause I like sports. Cause I’m Amurrican.
